Faculty Training Certification Program

YSocialWork, Inc. offers courses designed to enhance the personal and professional development of youth and young adult through short competency trainings, experiential learning opportunities, and leadership programs.
Experienced and dedicated faculty are essential to support these efforts, providing the guidance and expertise necessary to ensure effective learning and impactful development.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead Facilitator
- Teach social work competencies to high school students receiving service learning credits
- Participate in assessment of student learning objectives
- Commit to 8 hours per semester
Experiential Facilitator
- Grade student assignments
- Evaluate experiential course material for an assigned session of one of the design courses.
- Contributing to the development of teaching enhancements and innovations.
- Commit to 8 hours per semester
Social Work Student Intern
- Manage student records and track service learning hours
- Serve as IT support during online sessions
- Contributing to the development of teaching enhancements and innovations
- Advise students individually or within groups about graduation requirement, career planning and academic success, and college applications
- Commit to 16-20 hours per semester
Requirements
- Master’s degree from a CSWE-accredited institution or enrolled in M.S.W or Master’s level program.
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in social work ethics, diversity, human rights, or policy practice.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and train high school students from diverse, multi-cultural populations and ability to work effectively and ethically with students and other instructors.
Preferred Qualification
- Ability to function with minimal supervision with attention to details and deadline including the ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to accommodate the needs of the program.
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate with design leads using project management software.
- Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills. Strong customer service and problem solving skills.
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office and Google applications.
- This position requires the ability to work at night or weekends (i.e., Sundays)
